We recently hosted our Annual Meeting, marking a significant milestone—25 years of impact, collaboration, and community transformation. The event served as a moment of celebration, reflection, and renewed commitment to catalyzing initiatives that enhance the quality of life in Muscatine and Louisa Counties.
A Legacy of Giving and Community Progress
Attendees gathered to celebrate a quarter-century of progress, highlighting the foundation’s role in fostering generosity and strategic investments in local priorities. The event also showcased the many ways individuals and organizations can invest in our community—whether through donor-advised funds, organization funds, endowment funds, or unrestricted giving.
Honoring Community Leaders and Changemakers
A highlight of the evening was the recognition of individuals and organizations making a profound difference:
The Tom Hendricks Community Service Award was presented to Bags of Blessings, in partnership with Muscatine Charities, Inc., recognizing their outstanding contributions to addressing food insecurity in the community.
The Timeless Impact Award honored Bob and JoAnn Jensen and Jim Nepple for their enduring dedication and vision that has stood the test of time, creating a lasting legacy.
Engaging the Community in Giving
In a powerful display of collective generosity, attendees had the opportunity to vote on the recipient of a special grant. As a result, the Micaela’s Hope Endowment Fund and the Domestic Violence Shelter of MCSA Organization Fund each received a $2,500 award in recognition of the Community Foundation’s 25th anniversary.
Looking Ahead
As the Community Foundation embarks on its next 25 years, we will continue to unfailingly support the inspired, future-focused charitable gifts from donors and organizations, transforming the landscape of today, and for our next generation.
