Re-Accreditation with Community Foundations National Standards

We are proud to announce that we have once again earned re-accreditation with the Community Foundations National Standards, the nation’s highest standard for philanthropic excellence. This achievement, conferred by the Community Foundation National Standards Board with support from the Council on Foundations, confirms the Community Foundation’s commitment to rigorous, sector-driven best practices that exceed federal and state requirements to demonstrate transparency, accountability, and the highest standards of operational excellence.

Re-accreditation with the National Standards Accreditation Program is a prestigious honor, marking the Community Foundation’s ongoing dedication to maintaining best practices in governance, donor services, asset stewardship, and grantmaking. As an accredited organization, we join an elite group of community foundations recognized for meeting and exceeding stringent national benchmarks established by the philanthropic community.

“We are honored to have achieved re-accreditation with Community Foundations National Standards, underscoring our commitment to excellence as we serve our community,” said Jamie Leza, Vice President of Operations at the Community Foundation of Greater Muscatine. “This accomplishment reaffirms our dedication to building a strong, vibrant community and supporting our donors, grantees, and partners in their philanthropic goals.”

The National Standards Accreditation Program requires re-accreditation every three years, ensuring that foundations continue to maintain the highest level of ethical conduct and integrity. Our re-accreditation is a testament to sound management, responsible stewardship, and dedication to making a positive impact across Muscatine and the surrounding areas.

“The Community Foundation of Greater Muscatine has been accredited since 2005, being among the first 100 in the nation to achieve this recognition by the Council on Foundations,” Leza added.

We look forward to continuing our mission of improving the quality of life in Muscatine County by supporting local nonprofit organizations, fostering community partnerships, and helping donors achieve their philanthropic vision.
